Sales: Pricelists
What are Pricelists? Pricelists are sets of rules that determine the price of a product based on certain conditions. They allow you to define different prices for the same product based on factors such as: Customer Quantity Date Currency Product Category Pricelists can be used to: Offer discounts to specific customers (e.g., wholesale customers). Apply quantity-based discounts (e.g., buy 10 get 1 free). Run promotional offers (e.g., 10% off all products in a category). Manage different pricing in different currencies. How to Create and Configure Pricelists: Enable Pricelists: Go to Sales - Configuration - Settings. Enable the "Pricelists" feature. Create a New Pricelist: Go to Sales - Products - Pricelists. Click "Create" to create a new pricelist. Configure Pricelist Details: Name: Enter a name for the pricelist (e.g., "Wholesale Pricelist," "Summer Promotion"). Currency: Select the currency for the pricelist. Pricelist Type: Choose how the price is computed: Fixed Price: Set a fixed price for each product. Discount: Apply a discount to the product's default price. Formula: Use a formula to calculate the price based on the product's cost or other factors. Add Pricelist Rules: Click "Add a line" to add a new rule to the pricelist. Apply On: Specify the products to which the rule applies: All Products: Apply the rule to all products. Product Category: Apply the rule to products in a specific category. Product: Apply the rule to a specific product. Product Variant: Apply the rule to a specific product variant. Compute Price: Define how the price is calculated: Fixed Price: Set a fixed price. Percentage Discount: Apply a percentage discount. Formula: Use a formula to calculate the price. Min. Quantity: Specify the minimum quantity required to apply the rule. Start Date & End Date: Set a start and end date for the rule (for promotional offers). How to Assign Pricelists to Customers: On the Customer Form: Go to Sales - Customers. Select the customer. In the "Sales & Purchases" tab, select the desired pricelist in the "Pricelist" field. Default Pricelist: You can set a default pricelist for all customers in the Sales settings. How Pricelists Work in Sales Orders: When you create a sales order for a customer, Odoo automatically applies the pricelist assigned to that customer. The product prices in the sales order will be calculated based on the rules defined in the pricelist. You can manually change the pricelist on a sales order if needed.
